* We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated Special Education and Student Service Administrative Assistant.
This position provides administrative support to the Director of Student Services.
Duties include understanding and following compliance procedures regarding special education timelines, paperwork, and procedures.
Duties also include assisting the Director with organizing, preparing, disseminating, and evaluating special education and student services information, importing and exporting student data, and providing general support of district special education records.
Work is generally performed independently, is diverse in nature, and is performed in conjunction with the performance of building and district personnel needs.
This position is a year round position eligible for our full benefits package including paid time off.

We would welcome considering your application! *Required Qualifications* * Required experience and training: High school diploma, plus vocational/technical training or associate degree (executive assistant, office management, or business management); one to three years of progressively responsible administrative or executive assistant duties; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite applications and other advanced computer applications.
* Must meet State of Wisconsin criminal background check requirements.
* Superior ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a large and varied group of district personnel.
* Possess strong customer service skills to effectively communicate, orally and written, with district administrators, staff and the general public.
* Effective ability to interpret and communicate reports, procedures, and computer applications to faculty, staff, and students.
* Ability to maintain the confidentiality of records, discussions and other correspondence regarding all school or related matters.
* Strong working knowledge and application of business English, spelling, and composition.
* Demonstrated ability to support the writing of reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
* Demonstrated effective ability to multi-task and be flexible through planning, organizing, and establishing priorities for action in conjunction with others.
* Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for sound routine decisions in the absence of an immediate supervisor.
* Understanding of diversity as an integral component of the school’s organizational systems.
* Ability/willingness to learn, including any formal training the district deems warranted.
* Superior ability to act with integrity and discretion.
*Preferred Qualifications:* * Desired experience and training in the field of Special Education.
* Familiarity with student records management software and Individualized education program (IEP) process and procedures.
* Demonstrated administrative assistant experience in a public education setting.
* Exemplary and demonstrated skills in organization, communication, and problem-solving.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, federal, state, and/or DPI regulations, handbooks, computer and other manuals, budget reports and statistical data.
* Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments and decisions.
* Prior experience maintaining websites.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS:* The Special Education & Student Services Administrative Assistant must be able to sit for extended periods of time; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer or related office equipment; must be able to stand, stoop, and bend; and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
This position may be required to travel to District schools and buildings occasionally.
