* We are currently seeking to hire a highly-dedicated *Secondary Instructional Coach *for the 2024/2025 school year.
The successful candidate will be assigned to support students and staff in grades 6-12.
Applicants must be committed to continuous improvement and skilled at fostering collaborative conversations with staff focused on results-oriented universal instructional practices and data.
This would entail influencing and leading the complex change process towards professional learning communities and supporting the use of formative feedback to drive instruction.

*What Your Day Will Look Like:* Your day will be spent providing classroom teachers with strategies and training in research-based instructional and assessment practices and providing continued professional development to employees.
You will provide targeted support and mentoring in a peer-coaching role with teachers including, but not limited to, modeling, team-teaching, and/or collaboration, examining data to improve student learning and utilization of effective instructional techniques.
You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in building level problem-solving teams, district-level Continuous Improvement team, and professional development activities to build capacity as a resource for district staff.
*Position Responsibilities:* * Use coaching strategies to assist classroom teachers in building inclusive classrooms and the delivery of effective instruction for diverse learners.
* Collaborate with teacher teams, co-teach lessons, and do demonstration teaching.
* Support teachers ability to effectively communicate the purpose, outcomes, and necessary skills learned to students.
* Support teachers in the collection, analysis, and use of data to drive their instruction as a collaborative professional learning community.
* Plan and present professional development topics to building/district staff.
* Participate in building and district-level continuous improvement leadership and facilitation.
*Our Ideal Candidate:* * REQUIRED: Possess a valid Wisconsin DPI teaching license.
* Knowledge and experience in using student data and assessment results to guide instruction.
* Attend the District’s summer Student Success Summit.
* Attend or have attended Professional Learning Community training within one year of hire.
* Enroll in Jim Knight instructional coaching training over the summer months (if no prior training or experience).
* Knowledge and experience implementing best instructional and research-based practices.
* Knowledge and experience using the coaching process with teachers to support differentiated instruction.
* Demonstrates ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with all learners.
* Ability to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
* Collaborative and solution oriented mindsets.
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable, especially during times of change.
* Demonstrates good communication skills, including ability to guide and supervise groups of students, maintain confidentiality, and work with students in a positive and motivational manner.
* Demonstrates proficient office skills with computers and software.
* Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
* Bilingual (Spanish) skills and abilities are a plus.
