The School-to-Career (STC) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator will serve as the leader of the School to Career and IB Program are guided by our District’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
The STC and IB Coordinator shall provide organization, management, and collaboration through the growth of community partnerships, development, and total operation of the International Baccalaureate Programme, expansion of our Youth Apprenticeship Program, and continuously creating career pathway opportunities for MHASD students.
They are an effective collaborator that obtains organizational skills for the educational development of students and staff, as well as to market and promote our various programming options.
The incumbent is results-driven and can effectively communicate goals and impact, is self-directed, and promotes innovation while holding oneself accountable and a strong communicator that will serve as a liaison between the District, business partners, higher education institutions, parents, and community members.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in School Counseling and/or Bachelor’s degree Career and Technical Education experience.
The ideal candidate would have any one or more of the following DPI credentials: 5011, 5051, 5093, and or 7054; MHASD is open to supporting the successful candidate in their DPI credentialing.
Preferred: Experience teaching or coordinating IB and/or CTE Programs Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal), professional presentation, and collaboration.
Advanced understanding of instructional design, systems planning, and professional development.
Experience with facilitating a network of resources, career pathways, and coordination of a variety of programs and committees.
Independent work ethic for self-management of schedule.
Superior evidence of analytical, critical thinking, and judgment skills.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITITIES: Coordinate, advocate for, and supervise all activities and programs related to the School-to Career and IB efforts.
Collaborate with student services on dual credit, Start College Now, and Early College Credit Program opportunities.
Contribute to school-wide leadership and master schedule development.
Coordinate work with school administration, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
