* Come work at Mount Horeb Area School District! We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated Special Education Teacher (Cross Categorical) at our High School.

*What Your Day Will Look Like:* Exceptional applicants will have experience delivering academic instruction to students with special needs.
Applicants will also work with a team of special education teachers and special education paraprofessionals.
In addition, experience with implementing inclusive programming and assistive technology is desired.
There is a program support diagnostician and very supportive administration.
We have a continuum of services provided to students, with an emphasis on inclusive practices.
Our staff is highly committed to excellence in education and is highly regarded for our Special Education Programs.
This position will have a combination of in-person instruction in a general education classroom and may have some virtual work as specific students will be identified for small group in-person options within the school building.
*Our Ideal Candidate:* \*Interested candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain special education licensure.
\* Experience or interest of high school level sciences (ie.
biology, chemistry, and physics) \* Bilingual applicants are preferred with the ability to understand and communicate with Spanish speaking students.
\* Passionate and engaging educators.
\* Demonstrated ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with all learners.
\* Ability to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
\* Collaborative and solution oriented mindsets.
\* Ability to be flexible and adaptable, especially during times of change.

\* Experience in making data based decisions for instruction in math, reading, language arts and behavior is necessary.
