Duties:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and equipment
- Ensure that food is stored and handled properly to maintain safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Follow proper food handling procedures and adhere to health and safety regulations
- Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to effectively communicate with other kitchen staff
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including knives, grills, ovens, and fryers
