2005 Toyota Prius
Driveable but needs new transmission.
At the moment drives fine with a new noise, but it gave the red triangle and other lights when driving on the interstate, and later a mechanic found the "POA2B" code in the computer, which means the transmission is on it's way out.
Used transmissions are available from nearby yards, listed on car-part.
com, under $500, but have to be installed.
The other thing is the amount of rust.
Hybrid battery was serviced and works fine.
New starter battery from Toyota last year.
Other than that it's OK, with expected wear for this age and mileage.
I'm told these cars often go over 300k miles.
Has decent tires (one new, to match a fairly new one), new hybrid coolant pump.
Interior is nice.
Bumps on exterior show in photos.
So if you're up to doing some work, here is a car for you.
Or maybe you need a parts car.
